Interested in starting your own oral history project? This workshop will introduce participants to the preparation, recording, transcription, and archival organization of oral histories. There will also be time for hands-on practice.

This project is made possible in part by federal funds from the Institute of Museum and Library Services administered by the Pennsylvania Department of Education, Office of Commonwealth Libraries. The project is in cooperation with the Pennsylvania Council on the Arts (PCA), a state agency funded by the Commonwealth of 

Pennsylvania. Pennsylvania Rural Arts Alliance (PRAA) is a partner in the PCA’s Folk and Traditional Arts program in Region 13 which includes Armstrong, Butler, Clarion, Indiana and Jefferson Counties. The workshops are offered as a part of PRAA’s Folk and Traditional Arts work in the region.
